Discussing Magnesium from the book “All Your Health Questions Answered Naturally”
Magnesium has done a lot for me over the years as I’ve taken it as a supplement daily and encouraged clients to take it as well to help lower their high blood pressure and they saw significant changes in their levels.
Magnesium is a natural immune booster but it is also very beneficial in healing Bronchitis and Pneumonia. As you all have noticed there has been an increase in people being diagnosed with pneumonia. According to Maureen, magnesium helps the body control muscle spasms and is able to smooth and expand the bronchial muscles so they don’t contract and close off air (referred to as a bronchodilator effect).
Maureen shares, “History keeps repeating itself when it comes to healing bronchial problems with magnesium. In 1993, Emil M. Skobeloff, M.D. of the Department of Emergency Medicine/Division of Research, The Medical College Pennsylvania, reported on a young pregnant woman who was relieved of her life-threatening bronchitis by magnesium-after everything else failed. The 28 year old had a history of asthma, but it was acute bronchitis that brought her to emergency. Unable to breathe due to wheezing, the ER doctors gave her all the usual medicines and a commonly used albuterol inhaler. After no relief, she was given 3 grams of magnesium sulfate in an IV over 20 minutes and began breathing normally after an hour. Researchers at the University of Nottingham’s Division of Respitory Medicine found that of 2,633 asthmatics, those whose dietary magnesium intake was above the average 380 mg a day showed significantly improved lung function and less wheezing” (All Your Health Questions Answered Naturally).
There are many more reports that have been recorded of magnesium healing bronchitis, pneumonia, and asthma but I’ll end here.
Magnesium is best consumed with Calcium and D3 in a liquid form. I personally don’t take it daily anymore but as needed.
